Book an individual study room |
There are 85 individual study rooms in total:
- 8 rooms have a PC.
- 16 rooms are allocated to post-graduate research students on a monthly basis.
- All individual study rooms have power points and wireless network access is available throughout the Library building
Daily individual study rooms
Daily bookings are available to all students at the university. All daily individual study rooms are unlocked. Pre-booking is available, up to 7 days in advance. One same day booking per person can be made at the Library Reception desk.Bookings are available for 2 time slots: 08:00 - 16:00 and 16:00 - 23:50. Only one slot may be booked in advance per day.
Alternatively, you can use any individual study rooms you find empty, on the understanding that you may be asked to move if the individual study room has been booked by another user.
All individual study rooms are lockable via a push button on the inside door handle. If you have pre-booked a room belongings can be locked inside if necessary when searching for books. To regain access, please see the Library Helpdesk and as soon as staffing levels allow, a member of staff will unlock the room. For security reasons this service is only available to those who have pre-booked. If you lock your room between midnight and 8 am, when they are not-bookable, cleaners may unlock the room and your items may be at risk.
