We also have easy-to-use video and audio recorders which can be loaned to UEA staff who need these items for their core university activity. Audio recorders generally record to MP3 format which can be easily transferred to your PC ready for upload to the virtual learning environment or web. There are more format options for video files which will need to be considered so that output can be handled appropriately, such as uploading to a streaming server. You can discuss your needs with us and training provided before you use the device you require. Read moreAV equipment support in teaching spaces
Standard AV support in teaching spaces is now with IT Support and can be requested via the IT Helpdesk (x2345).The expertise of our technicians is in areas of audio and video. Some teaching spaces, especially large lecture theatres, contain equipment that is non-standard IT/AV and requires our assistance. This is typically sound production for specialist events and may require microphones that aren’t fixed to lecterns, for example. Any request you have for assistance with equipment in this area should be pre-booked. Your call will automatically be routed to us by the IT Helpdesk (x2345).
If your sound production needs are for a non-teaching space we may be able to provide you with a portable audio (PA) system. Again, this should be arranged in advance so that we can assure the provision of working equipment and arrange for any training to be given.
