Andrew has come from educational research background and has worked for a leading education technology department within Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge (Ultralab) under the directorship of Stephen Heppell, working on blended learning projects during 1998-2000 - studying reflective (meta-level) learning in early learners (the EU-funded project "eTui") and postgraduate medical learners in "A pilot Internet teaching project to support specialist medical training" at Whipps Cross Hospital.

After leaving Ultralab, he took up a position at Bewator (now Siemens) as their UK webmaster, then subsequently started his own business in video production and web design A And A Media Productions Ltd in 2004,

During this time, he worked with medical institutions including Hull, Addenbrookes (Rosie Maternity) and Bristol Royal Infirmary to create online learning resources for trainee medical specialists and with the NHS to develop an online resource for sonographers, midwives and medical students (NHS Fetal Screening Resources).  His company also created communication videos and websites for the corporate sector and the NHS.

Andrew took up his current position at UEA in September 2010 as e-learning technologist, and how helps to develop and run the Master of Surgery course in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery.  He is also part of the UEA's Excellence in Teaching Website development and the Learning Teachnology group.
