iLab

At the heart of the LaRC lies UEA's Innovation Lab (iLab). This is a dedicated space which offers exciting opportunities for groups to expand their thinking, brainstorm ideas and find imaginative solutions. The unique combination of collaborative software and facilitation support ensures that ideas can be shared quickly and that the session is successful in reaching its objectives.

Facilities

This is a semi-circular space equipped with 17 networked laptops, an electronic whiteboard, DVD, VHS and data projection facilities. The walls are made of whiteboard and the heating and lighting can be controlled to create the right ambience for users.

The iLab is an ideal choice for a number of different purposes such as meetings, discussions, presentations and training sessions.

Services

iLab facilitators, based in the Centre for Staff and Educational Development, can design tailor-made sessions based around an organisation's/group's specific needs.  The specialised software together with the skills and resources of our facilitators offer people the opportunity to work together and generate a wealth of ideas, evaluate their merits, make decisions and agree actions. Sessions are limited to 14 people.
