IT regulations and policies

Regulations and policies relating to provision and use of University IT and computing facilities have been developed in order to provide a secure computing environment and comply with relevant UK goverment and European legislation. These policies are organised into 5 groups:

  • Usage polices - policies which users must abide by when using the University network and computing facilties.
  • ICT and Security policies - policies relating to IT and computing provision and information security.
  • External legislation - key external legislation which the  University must abide by.
  • User Guidelines - guidelines promoting responsible use and good practice.
  • Business continuity and disaster - policies to enable continuity of University business in the event of major failure or disaster affecting IT and computing services.
