Regulations and policies relating to provision and use of University IT and computing facilities have been developed in order to provide a secure computing environment and comply with relevant UK government and European legislation. These policies are organised into five groups:
- Usage polices - policies which users must abide by when using the University network and computing facilities.
- ICT and security policies - policies relating to IT and computing provision and information security.
- External legislation - key external legislation which the University must abide by.
- User guidelines - guidelines promoting responsible use and good practice.
- Business continuity and disaster recovery - policies to enable continuity of University business in the event of major failure or disaster affecting IT and computing services.
For details of the above, please follow the links on the left. New members of the University, or visitors should focus their attention initially on 'Usage policies'.
