E-books

The University Library provides access to hundreds of e-books across all subjects. The e-books complement print books and are available 24-hours a day.

To find an e-book

The easiest way to find a UEA e-book is to

  • open the UEA Library search engine Primo OneSearch
  • Enter your search terms e.g. the title of the book or the subject that you want to find
  • use the Refine My Results feature in the left-hand side bar to limit the "Resource Type" to E-books
  • Select the Online resource link to open the e-book

Another way to look is via the e-book platform - the publisher or provider's own database.  To do this

  • Via Primo OneSearch select Find Databases from the top of the screen
  • Select category E-Book Services and click on Find Databases
  • Select an e-book service from the list that appears
  • Contents of the book may be searched as well as title and subject

On-campus access:
most of our e-books can be accessed on campus without having to enter a username and password.  "Ebook Library" platform requires you to use your UEA username and password.
Off-campus access: you can get access to many books using ATHENS SLi (for which you will need your UEA computer username and password).
