Microsoft Outlook (Staff desktop)

Introduction:

Microsoft Outlook is an integrated email and office management system. It provides all of the expected features of an email client:
  • Send and receive email messages and attached files.
  • Organise email into mail folders.
  • Create and store email address information.

Outlook adds to this functionality by offering
  • Calendars
  • Full contact listing including address and other information
  • A task list
  • Notes

By using Outlook with an Exchange server you will benefit from group work and collaborative features, such as:
  • Shared diaries and address books
  • Group storage areas
  • Resource scheduling and room booking

It is also possible to access Outlook Exchange via the web using Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA).

Training and Support

To fully benefit from all the features of Exchange, it is advisable to attend training.
