How to use Canit spam filter system

UEA has a new anti-spam appliance CanIt, which enables users to refine their own spam filtering.

CanIt is flexible in allowing a range of filtering.  For complex filtering, please refer to the CanIt user guide within the system.
CanIt will delete any inbound messages that have viruses or are subject to a blacklist (RBL).  Any emails that pass these tests are then analysed and rated according to how 'spammy' they are.  You can then simply choose to tag anything it determines is spam (this is the default and adds {Spam?} to the subject line of an email message), or you can automatically delete the spam items. Additionally CanIt can be trained by you to recognise anything you regard as spam.

For further instructions on use see this document: CanIT Helpsheet.
