Other categories of applicant

This information is for those wishing to apply for a UEA Campus Card and/or IT Account who are not current UEA staff or students. Please choose which category applies to you from the options below to find out how to apply and to download the appropriate application form.

Academic visitor to UEA

Obtain a signature from your authorising UEA sponsor (usually Head of Department) before submitting a V1 application form to the IT Helpdesk in the Library.

Building / car park access only (only individuals associated with or completing work for UEA departments or on campus)

Obtain a signature from your authorising UEA sponsor (usually Head of Department of the area that you require access to) before submitting either
A V4 application form (access required for over a month)
OR
A V5 application form (access required for less than a month).

The type of form is dependent on the length of time that access is required
and further information is outlined in the V4/V5 policy document

Members of the public

If you would like to visit the Library for a day:
No application form is required - show photo ID and proof of address at the Reception Desk at the Library entrance.

If you would like regular library access for reference purposes,
without borrowing books:

Retired / ex UEA Staff

Submit a V2b application form to the Library Helpdesk. Your application form should be submitted with supporting evidence of your employment at UEA (required by means of written letter confirmation from HR to be obtained by applicant) and covering letter stating the reason for your application. NB. A charge applies for ex-staff with less than 15 years continuous service.

SCONUL Access Scheme (for Higher Education students and staff)

Students and Staff at other HE institutions wanting to borrow from UEA via the SCONUL Scheme:
Complete a SCONUL application form in order to obtain a SCONUL card approved and completed by your home institution library before submitting a V2a application, your SCONUL card and your home institution ID to the Library Helpdesk in the UEA Library.
