What is a Campus Card?
You will need a campus card to gain access to the following:
The Library
24 Hour IT Area on floors 0 and 1 of the Library Extension
Car Park
Sportspark
Restricted access areas - Labs in some schools
Student Union Membership (UEA and national membership) You will also need the campus card to borrow and return library materials and for network printing and photocopying. The Campus Card service operates from 09.00-17.00, Monday-Friday. Staff will update existing or expired membership during these hours.
In order for applications to be authorised and manually processed, please allow up to 5 working days (depending on staff availability). Non-standard applications may take 10 to 15 days.
If you make a personal visit to the Library, staff at the IT Helpdesk can assist you with all campus card related queries.
If you need a replacement card you need to fill in the following online application form. The card can then be collected from the IT Helpdesk. We will do our best to print your new card within 24 hours but please allow up to 48 hours at busy times.

Your IT Account username and password will be needed to to use pcs, unix computers, email, and other services which are limited to access by members of the University or to individuals or groups within it.Please note in registering for an IT Account you are agreeing to read and abide by the UEA Conditions of Computer Use.
What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password ask at the IT Helpdesk to have your password reset to a new default password and you should then change this the next time you log in. See helpsheet U1: How to change your password (Windows 7 and online) for how to choose an appropriate password and how to change it.How long does my account last?
For students the account will remain active for 45 days after your course end date. An email will be sent 45 days before reminding you that your account will expire.After the end course end date you will have:
- No Portal access or building access with a campus card
- No module access (Blackboard)
- Webmail access via http://webmail.uea.ac.uk for 45 days
- E:Vision access only for 45 days, accessed via https://evision.uea.ac.uk
