Graduate Internship Case Studies

The Graduate Internship Programme has re-launched as a result of the success of the original Project Evolve Graduate Internship Programme.

Over the duration of the original programme we placed more than 225 graduates within local organisations and we were overwhelmed with positive feedback from both organisations and graduates. To demonstrate the impact the programme has had on those participating, we have compiled several Graduate Internship case studies:

Recent graduate goes from barista to relationship manager in 12 weeks

After graduating from the University of East Anglia, Justine found herself flitting from the retail to the service industry. For the past 12 weeks Jack Golding has been working on an internship at OPITO - The Oil and Gas Academy. Jack was secured by OPITO to support a steering group in undertaking a strategic research project. Jack has been assessing the scale of jobs growth potential and associated training needs of the energy sector in Norfolk and Suffolk to 2031, with particular reference to oil and gas, nuclear and offshore wind. Click here for full details.

Ruth Barton was secured by Tim Youngman, head of digital marketing, to work within the marketing section of the regional digital development team. During her 12 week placement Ruth was responsible for researching potential business opportunities and writing up recommendations within reports.

Tim said “In a short space of time working with us Ruth has analysed data on new market opportunities and provided thought provoking reports and business plans for new areas of opportunities for Archant. She has also worked on creative marketing campaigns, an area she clearly enjoys and wants to develop. Intern updates systems in local brewery

University of East Anglia graduate Will Kelly secured a 10 week internship with Iceni Brewery situated on the edge of the Thetford Forest in the Breaklands area of Norfolk. Will was tasked with upgrading and improving the efficiency of the accounting system and began by transferring the customer and supplier details from one system to the other. He implemented a unique, but intuitive product coding system and inputted the opening stock figures to ensure accurate reporting. Click here for full details.
