When should I apply?

FAFSA applications may be made from 1 January each year.

Students must apply for Stafford loans on an annual basis and are recommended to start the application process anytime from 1 March each year.

Applications for PLUS, GradPLUS and private loans should be submitted no earlier than 6 months prior to the start of the course.

What happens after I complete my application?

Once we have received all the relevant documents, we will be in position to send you an 'Offer of Funds' letter. This document details how much you are able to borrow and we will require you to review the funds and confirm this is the amount you would like to borrow or advise us if you would like more or less. Once we have determined the amount you would like to borrow and have received all the necessary documents, we will be able to originate your loan. Once this has been done, you will receive a letter detailing how and when your loan will be disbursed. This letter is in format agreed with the UKBA and should be used as evidence of funds when applying for your UK visa.

NOTE: Any application being received within a month of the course start date cannot be guaranteed to be processed in time for the start of the course or to provide the required documentation for any Visa.
