BSc Accounting and Finance
Hi, my name is Venus. This year is my 2nd year of Accounting and Finance, which is the most common course among Hong Kong students and other east-asian students. I'm sure I will be able to provide comments or advise which others might not be willing to or might not be able to. Within these 2 years, I feel I am dedicated to UEA and I am proud to be a UEA student. I want to let you all feel my passion and also want to share my joy and experience to new comers. I am enthusiastic in helping and advising students who are currently studying at UEA and those who want to study at UEA.
UEA is a campus-based university. It is very convenience because you can find food store, coffe shop, post office, book store and a lot more within the university! Besides, UEA has many multi-media infrastructures established to benefit not only students and staff from UEA but also the Noriwch citizens. For instance, the Sainbury Centre for Visual Arts held exhibitions, which is open to all; the Sports Park has different courses, such as yoga and climbing, for the public to join.
Students from UEA also get a wide range of societies and clubs to choose from such as the Live Band, Hong Kong society, International Student Society, etc. If student want to find a part time job, UEA is able to help too, as they have a career center helping students to get a part time job within and outside the university. They also held a career day once a semester at the LCR for students to apply for jobs and social services.
If you do want to know more about courses in UEA, life in Norwich, or anything. Do not hesitate, please feel free to contact me at hongkongstudents@uea.ac.uk
You can also connect with students from Hong Kong on Facebook
and also at the UEA Hong Kong Society page.
BSc Ecology
UEA provided the place for me to get to know myself and be myself - Do different is UEA’s motto - and it helped us all be individuals. I met so many different people and did so many things. I learnt more about the academic and social side of life from this one place. The atmosphere was always friendly and no one felt like a stranger at UEA. I worked at the Union Bar, helped out with clubs, attended great lectures and even kept fit! There is no better place to be for that part of your life! It’s a place where I worked and played hard!
