Additions to the fees above include research bench-fees and pre-sessional English courses. Tuition fees can be paid in full at registration or by instalments by arrangement at registration 

These tuition fees are for 2013/14 only.  For further years of study there will be a slight increase in tuition fees for continuing students.  Ordinarily the fees for the following academic year will be published by January 2014.

Home Fees

If you feel you meet 'Home' fee status as described in the document above, submit the UEA home fees form with your application for admission.

International Deposit

A minimum deposit of £2000 is required from all international postgraduate applicants to secure your place and student visa.

Accommodation and Living Costs 2013/14


International students from outside the EU are usually guaranteed self-catering accommodation unless they have studied with us before. Undergraduate students can stay in University accommodation for the duration of their course and postgraduates for the first year (the typical length of most masters courses.)  Charges range from £68.04 a week for a single study bedroom with shared bathroom to £110.11 for a single study bedroom with en-suite facilities. Private Sector charges vary between £60-£100 per week excluding heating, lighting, water and internet charges. Visit the UEA Accommodation Office web pages for full details.

Living costs are estimated to be approximately £800 per month, (£1000 per month for London), the minimum required to secure a Tier 4 student visa, totalling around £9,600 (£12,000 in London) for 12 months (the duration of most postgraduate courses) and £7,200 (£9,000) for 9 months (one academic year in most undergraduate courses). These amounts should cover accommodation, food, books, transportation and social activities.  Actual costs will vary depending on individual circumstances.
