Pharmacy
Hi. My name is Saem and I am studying MPharm(Pharmacy) at University of East Anglia. One of the most attractive sides of UEA is that UEA provides great student support including security services, student counselling services and support in careers and accommodation. Also, Norwich is considered as the safest city in the UK. More importantly, I have received a scholarship which covered a half of my tuition fee.
Studying in the UK is challenging as an international student but all the lecturers are very willing to give extra help and also the dean of students provides academic support. The library is open for 24 hours so when I get stuck while doing my coursework until late, I can just pop down to the library and borrow books. The course includes lectures, workshops and tutorials. Workshops are normally in a smaller group than lectures so I can get more help from the lecturer and PhD students. Tutorials are in a small group that enables me to interact more with other students and the lecturer.
Social life at UEA is just amazing. Union bar and the LCR are on campus so I don’t have to go out to the city centre for a drink, clubbing or watching gigs. Also, they are much cheaper than the city centre, which is always beneficial for students. UEA has a lot of societies and sports clubs that I can join as many as I want. I have joined Music society, Dance squad and Pharm Soc. Societies and sports clubs have many socials where I can go and make many friends from different courses and years.
The university itself has massive green areas and a broad where I can go for a walk when I need to get some fresh air.
All in all, my experience at UEA has been fantastic and having chosen UEA is one of my best decisions.

PhD Marketing
Hello everyone!
I’m glad to meet you on this University of East Anglia international students’ website. I am Young who has been studying in B2B relationship marketing at Norwich Business School (NBS).
Until now, not many people in Korea may are familiar with the University of East Anglia. Neither was I. In fact, when people decide to study abroad, the main factors considered could be research network, relationships with researchers including supervisors (particularly, for postgraduate students), university’s support for students, the safety and convenience of the city and the future career after graduating from the university. In the light of my experience at UEA and in Norwich, I think my decision to study in UEA was the best for me. Fortunately, I have got a NBS studentship for all PhD processes. I think each school including NBS tries to give chances for international students to study in UEA. If you plan study in the UK, why do not try to apply for UEA with UEA studentship? Additionally, Norwich is one of safest cities in the UK. Besides, there are new big shopping malls in Norwich city centre, so you can feel the convenience of shopping just like Korea.
UEA campus has many benefits. First, it is a campus-based university. It is very convenient because you can find a food store, coffee shop, post office, book store and more on campus. Second, the campus is like a park where you can feel the change of seasons and be communion with the nature. Third, the campus is next to a park area and lake so it offers a variety of facilities which can make your campus life better. For instance, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts which has held exhibitions; the Sports Park which is the biggest university indoor sports centre in Britain and has an Olympic-sized pool, climbing wall, athletics track, gym and an extensive range of sports and leisure activities.
I wish you all the best. Hope to see you at the University of East Anglia soon!!
"Hi this is Seo-young, year 4 pharmacy student in University of East Anglia. I am very happy to introduce my school to Korean students who are interested in studying pharmacy in the UK. Studying pharmacy at UEA is one of the best choices I have done in my life. I think my school is the best place for students aiming to be an excellent pharmacist or pharmaceutical scientists; my school has achieved the highest ranking of a School of Pharmacy for the fourth year in a row in student satisfaction from National Student Survey and 2nd highest school of pharmacy from The Guardian's university league table 2011. The high rankings from the several leagues are not very surprising for me because of its outstanding academic environments. First of all faculty and teaching staffs are very kind and supportive. They are always beside me as excellent advisers in academic, career and student life. I enjoyed every lecture I attended as they teach students with passion and genuine interest in student understanding.I am sure you will enjoy the course and life in Norwich."
