Scholarships available for MRes in Social Science Research (International Development Pathway)

The MRes Social Science Research Methods degree offers an advanced programme of research training and is ideal preparation for graduates considering a career in research or intending to undertake a PhD.

For course entry in September 2014, we are offering six scholarships for the MRes in Social Science Research covering tuition fees (UK/EU rates: £6,000), including a maintenance grant of £5,000 per annum. These scholarships are also available to International students, but a top up to the International fee of £12,900 is needed. The awards are available for September 2014 registration on a full-time basis only.

Scholarships are awarded to students on an academic basis taking into consideration relevant disciplinary background and exceptional academic ability. Applications are invited from those who have or expect to achieve a 2.1 degree or higher in a relevant discipline.

The programme provides a research masters to six different social science disciplines: International Development, Psychology, Business, Education, Social Work and Law. The new International Development pathway of the MRes Social Science Research Methods offers students the possibility of developing advanced social science research skills and pursuing an Independent Research project with a specialist supervisor.

To be considered for one of these scholarships, we must have received your application by 28 April 2014.
