EVENT - Talk by Raleigh International
Tuesday 3rd December - 2.00pm - 3.00pm - Lecture Theatre 4
This hour session will explain the work of the ICS, and give you information on how to apply.
The International Citizen Service is a UK government funded development programme offering volunteers aged between 18 and 25 the opportunity to help fight poverty both abroad and here in the UK. Funded by the Department for International Development, it is delivered by a consortium of respected development agencies including VSO, Tearfund, Progressio and Raleigh International. Many DWE placements have been arranged through tis programme, so it is vital that you attend.
Come along to an informal talk given by Isabelle Masters and Gemma Love of Raleigh International, to find out more about the ICS in general, and RI’s work more specifically. Two current UEA students who have recently taken part in ICS schemes will be there to talk to you about how they got onto the scheme, and what they’ve got out of it.
Alongside the insight into ICS's work there is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have to the speakers and Gaynor Egan, DEV Careers Adviser.
Open to all students within DEV but please note that ICS are not currently able to work with international students.
