DEV CV Workshop with Bruce Lankford
Aimed at all DEV students, but particularly relevant for those about to graduate, Bruce Lankford's CV Workshop is a rapid-fire interactive 1 hour session to help you communicate more effectively with your CV. Normally lasting for 10-20 minutes past the finish time, Bruce is offering you insights garnered from many years of reading CVs and job applications, plus conducting many interviews. You will also be shown a 'before' and 'after' CV from a recent DEV student.
The first session will be this Thursday 21st April at 5pm, in Arts 3.02. It will be repeated as an identical session on Thursday 5th May at 5pm, in Arts 01.01.
All DEV students are welcome and there is no need to book. Each session is a repeat of the other so please attend one date only. This is a valuable opportunity as no other CV assistance is given, even to those students who miss both sessions!
Some feedback from a previous student:
'Dear Bruce, I hope you remember me. I am *, a former UEA student. I just wanted to say thank you for your help with the CV workshops you gave us last academic year. I took your advice and restructured and fine-tuned my CV. I just recently applied for a part-time job here at the University of Sussex for the position as a clerical assistant for the International Summer School. Not only was I invited for an interview (I was told that my CV and cover letter were very interesting), but I also got the job. Thanks to your help I was able to pimp up my CV to such a standard that I was noticed and asked for an interview. Thank you so much for this.'
