A one-day workshop on epistemological issues in International Development, UEA London, 8 December 2012
The School of International Development (DEV) at the University of East Anglia organised a one-day workshop on epistemological issues in international development on 8 December 2012. The workshop was held at UEA London and 26 PhD students from DEV as well as other (British and other European) universities attended. Issues in inter-disciplinary research in international development were discussed with specific emphasis on epistemological issues in natural sciences, economics and social analysis. The sessions were led by three experienced researchers from the respective fields, Dr Tim Daw (natural science), Dr Bereket Kebede (economics) and Professor Cecile Jackson (social studies). This is an annual workshop held at a similar time every year.
