The Faculty of Arts and Humanities Graduate School offers annual prizes to recognise outstanding postgraduate students. The deadline for nominations for the 2011-12 Graduate School Prizes has recently closed.
The prizes will celebrate the best two graduate teachers, best article and best public engagement work. Nominations are made by HUM students and staff.
The deadline for nominations was 4 May 2012.
The recipients will be recognised by an award of £200 and a presentation by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities during Congregation Week.
Eligibility and selection criteria
All postgraduate research students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities during the 2011-2012 academic year who are up to date with progress checks and on target to complete their degree within 4 years (7 years for part-time students) are eligible. Selection criteria and further details are given in the nomination form.

Selection team
The selection team comprises the Associate Dean of the Graduate School, one other Associate Dean and a representative of the Postgraduate Director in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The decision of the selection committee is final.

- Two Graduate Teacher Prizes recognise graduate students who have made a significant impact through teaching in the Faculty.
- The Student Article Prize is awarded to the best paper published by a graduate student.
- The Public Engagement Prize recognises and showcases the many ways in which students in the arts and humanities increasingly engage with public audiences.
