The Human Resources Division of the University led by the Director of Human Resources, Mrs Cécile Piper, provides a range of HR services to the University. The Division comprises three sections:

Nursery
The Human Resources Division provides a full HR service to all the University's Schools and Units. These include guidance on human resource planning, recruitment and selection, role analysis, grading, conditions of employment, employee development, performance and reward management, employee relations, equal opportunities, employment law compliance and advice on operational, procedural, policy development and strategic matters relating to staff.
The Centre for Staff and Educational Development provides a regular programme of courses and events, details of which are circulated once a year to every member of staff and also advertised through our frequently updated Web pages. The courses are designed to meet the need for both information and skills development and are informal and participative in style. The Centre also funds staff to allow them to attend appropriate external courses, within the guidelines laid down in the staff development and training policy.
