This post is available immediately on a fixed-term basis until 30 September 2013, and may be appointed on a full or part-time basis. This vacancy arises as maternity cover for more than one member of the team and therefore the post holder will have a good opportunity to cover a range of work, as s/he will cover areas of some of the work normally undertaken by each absent team member.

The appointee, who will have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline and experience in a wide range of research methods, will be expected to provide methodological advice and research design support input as part of the East of England (EoE) Research Design Service (RDS). This will include collaboration with both clinicians and researchers with a view to formulate clear research questions and develop high quality research proposals in applied health & social care research. The appointed person would be expected to be an active researcher and thereby collaborate on research proposals that are developed as appropriate.
