£13,839 to £14,905 per annum (plus snow clearance allowance)
Working a 36.25 annualised hours system, you will join a dedicated team responsible for the maintenance of the University's external physical environment, tending over 320 acres including lakes, rivers, sports fields and gardens. You will possess a range of horticultural skills and will ideally be educated to NVQ2 in land based studies with an interest in bio-diversity. The role involves use of University vehicles on campus and public roads, along with working outdoors, often in physically demanding conditions. A full, UK driving license is therefore essential. In addition, you will be required to participate in gritting and snow clearance callout throughout the winter. Closing date: 12 noon on 24 January 2013.
