£24,049 to £36,298 per annum, pro rata
This is a part time (40%) post offered on a fixed-term basis for a period to 31st July 2014. This exciting role, a first for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMH) of Faculty Employability Fellow, has been designed to support a range of funded cross-faculty employability initiatives focused on enhancing the development (and visibility) of employability-relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours amongst students; responsiveness to the needs of the employer; the qualities and skills that employers require and improving student confidence being able to articulate that they possess them; the emerging roles and employment opportunities within social enterprises and non-NHS providers; lifelong learning relationship with its alumni by establishing educational activities and communication with FMH graduates and diplomats to continue learning at the UEA following graduation; and student learning and awareness to enhance their understanding of employability skills and enable them to enhance their career satisfaction and development. The role will also support creating additional opportunities within our curricula to enhance full time employment 6 months after completion for our graduates and diplomats; and enabling students to realise their potential through sustainable and accessible employment in the changing health context. The successful candidate will be educated to graduate level, have an awareness of employability issues within the NHS; experience of delivering teaching and seminars and of curriculum design and delivery.
