Owing to the sensitive nature of this post applicants who are offered employment will be subject to receipt by the UEA of a satisfactory Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) before the offer of appointment is confirmed. Criminal records will be taken into account for recruitment purposes only when the conviction is relevant. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from employment. This will depend on the circumstances and background to your offence(s).

Please note: you are expected to meet the cost of obtaining a satisfactory Disclosure and a deduction will automatically be made from your salary shortly after appointment. The present cost of an Enhanced Disclosure is Ł44.
