Biography

I was born and brought up in Manchester, but I have been living in East Anglia since the mid-1970s. I have been here so long that I now support Norwich City rather than Manchester City.

Career History

Most of my career has been spent in academia, however, in my youth I taught English language at a school in Kitzingen, Bavaria, and shortly thereafter I worked in the Buying Department in Hoechst AG in Frankfurt.
