The former airbase at RAF Coltishall is located in the parish of Scottow, Norfolk, 15km (9 miles) northeast of Norwich, and 1.6 km (1 mile) northwest from the village of Coltishall, on land that was formerly farmland.

Construction of the aerodrome began in 1939 and a number of squadrons flew from the station during the Second World War.

The station remained in operation throughout the Cold War and was closed in 2006.

Norfolk County Council (NCC) has recently acquired the site of the former RAF Coltishall and is a partner in Cold War Anglia.

If you worked  at RAF Coltishall during the Cold War, or lived around the station and have memories to share, or want help with research into the site  we would be very pleased to hear from you.
