Biography

After undergraduate and postgraduate study at UEA, Robert Liddiard worked as a research assistant for the University of Western Australia, Perth. He then spent two years teaching at the University of Wales, Bangor before returning to UEA to take up his current post in September 2002.

His teaching and research interests are in medieval and landscape history, particularly the history and archaeology of high status landscapes (secular and ecclesiastical), the vernacular landscape, parks and hunting as well as aspects of tenurial geography. He is prepared to supervise theses on medieval landscape history c.500-1520.
