Biography

Cathie Carmichael teaches Eastern European History. She is an editor of the Journal of Genocide Research, on the International Advisory Board of Europe-Asia Studies and on the executive committee of the British Association of Slavonic and East European Studies.

Key Research Interests

In her research Cathie Carmichael has been chiefly concerned with national identity, borders and violence especially in the former Yugoslavia.
