Studentships and funding
Funded studentships
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is proud to offer a number of fully funded studentships for postgraduate research. Successful candidates will receive a stipend of £13,590 per annum (2013/14), UK/EU tuition fees and some appropriate training costs. International applicants will have to pay the difference between the home fees and the international fees.
Fully funded studentships are currently on offer for 2013-14 entry.
International student bursaries
We offer a limited number of bursaries (international fees) up to £15,000 per annum and part- funded bursaries of £5,000 per annum to international students who are self-funded or externally sponsored. Eligibility criteria apply. If you wish to be considered for an international student bursary please indicate this under ‘funding' on the application form.
Other PhD opportunities
In addition to UEA funded studentships, we welcome applications from self-funding PhD applicants and from those who may have secured funding from other sources.
