Prospective students
As a postgraduate research student you will be a key member of one of the Faculty's research programmes that aim to enhance the health, quality of life and the experience of care of people and the populations in which they live.
Our expertise and research is world-leading and not only informs government policy whilst developing and delivering patient care but also accounted for more than £32 million in external funding last year alone, across 240 live projects. In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise 78 per cent of our research was assessed as being of international standing and 37 per cent as world leading or internationally excellent.
We have a proven track record in conducting research in clinical and biomedical fields; psychology; public health; primary care and other health services; health economics; and in the rehabilitation and management of long-term conditions. We also encourage and support work across the Faculty and capitalise on the strengths in each of the three Schools: Norwich Medical School, School of Allied Health Professionals and School of Nursing Sciences as well as the partner institutes on the Norwich Research Park. Our postgraduates tell us that they benefit greatly from the research collaboration, mentoring and networking within that group of academic staff and other postgraduate students within and across these exciting research programmes.
