Biography

Dr Kathryn Richardson joined UEA in 2014, following ten years in pharmacoepidemiology and ageing research: and as a statistician at the Collaboration for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (University of British Columbia, Canada), the Medical Research Council Cognitive Function and Ageing Study (University of Cambridge), Research In Real Life (Norfolk), and studying for her PhD at Trinity College Dublin.

Dr Richardson completed her first degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, and Economics at the University of Warwick followed by an MSc in Statistics from the University of British Columbia.  Her PhD based on The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing examined multiple medication use in the older population.  Since then Dr Richardson’s research continues to focus on the application of pharmacoepidemiological methods to examine the consequences of medication use in older people.
