Teaching Interests

Anthony is a lecturer in Operating Department Practice at the UEA.  He is passionate about promoting evidence based practice and excellence in care across all aspects of the surgical pathway.  Although Anthony primarily teaches Operating Department Practitioner students, he is involved with teaching perioperative care to other healthcare students and professionals within the School of Nursing Sciences.  Anthony has particular interests in Anaesthesia (including management of preoperative anxiety), Minimally Invasive Surgery and Enhanced Recovery Programmes.

Anthony is currently the module leader for Anaesthetic Care, Surgical Care and Recovery Care Modules for the DipHE Operating Department Practice programme (2006 curriculum). 

Anthony is also the Link Lecturer for Theatres and Day Surgery Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn, where he works closely with clinical colleagues to develop and improve education in the clinical setting.
