HSC Lecturer Dr Kath Mares and team have been selected as finalists for the Health Enterprise East Innovation Awards 2016

A team lead by Dr Kath Mares from UEA and colleagues from NNUH and NCHC were recently announced as Finalists for the Health Enterprise East Innovation Awards 2016

The team are working with local company ApplinSkinner to develop an app that therapists will be able to use to prescribe exercises to people following a stroke along each stage of their recovery from the hospital to home. Award winners were announced at a dinner on the 9 June 2016. The app was nominated as one of four finalists in the ‘Software/ICT/Assistive Technology’ category.

Winners of the category were a team from Papworth Hospital who developed an app to support organ donation. Congratulations to them and thanks to HEE for allowing us the opportunity to promote our innovation developed through a collaborative partnership between industry, academia and NHS partners.
