Fetching water increases risk of childhood death

A study published this month reveals that adults collecting water is associated with increased risk of childhood death, and children collecting water is associated with increased risk of diarrheal disease.

Prof Paul Hunter (Norwich Medical School) and Dr Jo Geere (School of Health Sciences) studied data from more than 2.7 million people in 41 low to middle-income countries, looking for associations between access to drinking water, sanitation and health.
