The Faculty of Health has made two important internal appointments.
Professor Richard Gray, Professor of Research Related to Nursing in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, is to become a full Associate Dean for Postgraduate Research. Professor Gray has been leading on post graduate research since the development of the Faculty's three Research Institutes. Professor John Saxton, Professor of Clinical Exercise Physiology in the School of Allied Health Professions, is to be the Faculty's Associate Dean for Enterprise and Engagement
Professor Ian Harvey, Dean of the Faculty of Health, said, "I am delighted to confirm these appointments. The post of Associate Dean for Post Graduate Research is a new one, and Richard Gray's experience in this area will be invaluable in further developing opportunities and capabilities in Post Graduate Research; this is a key area in underpinning our research excellence. John Saxton is succeeding Doctor Ric Fordham as Associate Dean for Enterprise and Engagement and I would like to thank Ric for his excellent work during his tenure. He has left a sound platform in Enterprise and Engagement on which John can build, further increasing our collaboration and impact with business and communities."
Both Professor Richard Gray and Professor Saxton will join the Faculty Executive team. These appointments are for three years.
