Dr. Patrick Musonda is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics at the University of East Anglia UK and recently became Head of the Analyst Unit at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ). He is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. He completed his PhD at the Open University UK in conjunction with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2006, and an MSc in Medical Statistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His PhD was in modelling adverse outcomes in vaccines in which he developed statistical models to model such adverse outcomes. Dr Musonda has published extensively in applied and statistical methodology in Medicine. His current statistical research interest is in modelling observational data and developing new statistical methodology to deal with issues arising in such data. He has worked on various research projects in the medical field in UK as a research statistician in particular being a research statistician on a European Multicentre Study on congenital toxoplasmosis. He has been a co-investigator on a number of research grants with clinicians in the UK.
