Key Research Interests
My key research interest is in the molecular and genetic markers of carcinogenesis, cancer progression and metastasis as it relates to breast cancer. To use these to explain clinical variations seen in practice e.g. ethnic differences in incidence and mortality, pre and post menopausal breast cancers; and to impact clinical management. I am also interested in the process of angiogenesis and surgical outcome for breast cancer.
Research Group Members
Teaching Interests
My teaching interests include:
- The use of gross anatomy to explain clinical symptomatology particularly surgical diseases and relevant surgical procedures.
- Development and teaching of the Organ System Development course (Systemic Embryology)
- Formative assessment
- Peer assessment and
- Evaluation of the learning process.
