Biography
Laura qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2006 and completed her PhD (Clinical Psychology) in 2008 from the Australian National University. She currently holds a Post Doctoral Fellowship with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). After qualifying as a clinical psychologist, Laura has worked for a community psychological service team in Canberra, Australia. Her clinical experience and interests include working with refugee and asylum seeker populations, trauma survivors and transcultural mental health policy and service organisations. Her research interests include investigating cross-cultural differences in processes involved in posttraumatic stress and implications for psychological adjustment.
Career
Over the past few years of my career I have gained clinical experience in Australia across a variety of hospital and community services. I have also gained experience in working clinically with transcultural mental health teams, trauma survivors and refugee and asylum seeker populations.
