Poetry Slam

Wednesday 12 July

2.30pm – 4pm

Yes! It’s here.  It’s the fifth FLY Poetry Slam. This afternoon the finalists in the Festival’s fantastic celebration of local young poets perform their brilliant works. Four leading slam poets including Rosy Carrick, Tim Clare, Mark Grist and Molly Naylor* have been visiting local schools and giving them the inspiration, skills and impetus to invent, perfect and perform their own poems.

Come and help the judges choose the winners through your appreciation and applause.

Don’t miss it.

And we will also be introducing new name on the performance poetry scene: Harry Radcliffe with his own brand of hilarious, personal and poignant poems.

The Slam will be introduced by rap artist BREIS, a king of performance

Tickets for this event are free but must be booked in advance to ensure your place.

This event is generously supported by the poetry and prose webzine Ink Sweat & Tears and part of this year's Young Norfolk Arts Festival.
