December 2012 was the 70^th anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s ‘legendary’ first appearance at the Paramount Theatre in New York. In two new articles published in Cultural Studies and The New Review of Film and Television Studies, FTM’s Tim Snelson revisits the moral panic over Sinatra’s ‘bobby soxer’ fans, as reported in the New York press and represented in a cycle of Hollywood ‘juvenile delinquency pictures'.
