Norwich Sound & Vision Festival, 2012

Staff from UEA’s School of Film, Television and Media Studies are contributing to the third annual Norwich Sound & Vision Festival, organising a conference that brings together industry practitioners, critics and academics, and programming a series of related events, including a video festival, live performances and an innovative challenge to create a ‘Music Video in 50 Hours’.

Location: Norwich (various venues)

Date: 11 – 13 October, 2012

Now in its 3rd year, Norwich Sound & Vision 2012 will bring together international delegates, speakers and performers to discuss the music, film and multi-media industries. It provides opportunities to network, reach new markets, forge new partnerships, learn, be inspired and enjoy an amazing line up of bands, artists, films and events in the creative, relaxing yet business like environment of one of the UK’s most charming cities.

As part of this year’s Festival, staff from UEA’s School of Film, Television and Media Studies are programming a series of events across two venues: an industry conference at Norwich Arts Centre, and a series of talks, discussions, screenings and performances at St Margaret’s Church. Highlights include a silent film screening with live music accompaniment, a Video Festival featuring work by emerging artists and professionals from the East of England, and an innovative challenge to create a ‘Music Video in 50 hours’.
