Lecture Theatre 1, UEA, Norwich NR4 7TJ

World renowned astronaut Dr Michael Foale who will discuss his 373 days in space with host Chris Barber, founder and director of the International Space School Education Trust (ISSET).

Michael is the most experienced British-born astronaut in the history of human space travel; not only was he the first Brit to perform a space walk (during which he saved the Hubble space telescope!) he's flown 6 Space Shuttle missions, commanded the International Space Station and rescued the Russian Mir Space Station when it was tumbling out of control. His talk will be accompanied by real footage of his journey into space and an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.

The event is family friendly and suitable for all ages, though the content is best enjoyed by grown ups (16+).

There is step-free access to the venue and a stair lift.

Refreshments will be available from the SU bar/café during the intermission.
