FLY - The University of East Anglia's Festival of Literature for Young People
08 July 2013 - 12 July 2013
Location: UEA
Attendees: All welcome
After the announcement that Norwich has been named England's first UNESCO City of Literature, the University of East of Anglia is hosting its first ever Literary Festival for Young People. FLY 2013 will be a jam-packed week of creativity for 11–17 year olds, involving writing, reading, poetry, lyrics and blogging. Academics, alumni and current students will be on hand to share their passion for creative writing and literature, in order to inspire young people to pick up a book or a pen themselves.
The lineup for the week will include visiting UEA creative writing graduates, who have gone on to become successful authors, as well as best-selling names from the teen fiction market.
More details will be announced in the spring. See the website for more information www.uea.ac.uk/fly or sign up to follow FLY on Twitter.
