Travel and Transport

Among the many attractions of our university are its parkland setting and its location within easy reach of a vibrant city. Careful development of the campus has ensured that we make the most of available building space whilst maintaining the quality of our surroundings. However, the volume of traffic coming to the site presents us with serious challenges that must be faced if we are to continue to thrive and grow. Through our Travel Plan we have historically focussed on the management of staff and students commuting (single occupancy car journeys in particular). We are now also managing our fleet vehicles and business travel to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and fossil fuel use.

Fill That Hole - mark a pothole or other road hazard on the map and this website reports it to the relevant authority. It really works - some holes reported in April '08 were filled within a week. It's for public roads only, so report any UEA problems to Estates (estates.listening2u@uea.ac.uk)

Clear That Trail - as above and run by the same organisation, but for blockages on public rights of way.
