Top Ten Sustainability Tips

The UEA is working towards environmental sustainability in all of its business practices and we need your help! Please help us help the environment by following the advice listed below:

1. Understand UEA’s Environmental Policy

2. Take responsibility for your own environmental impacts

3. Join the CarbonCrew or get in touch and share your ideas, or find out more here.

4. Reduce, reuse and recycle your waste

5. Use energy efficiently – turn off your computer monitors and printers at the end of the evening

6. Report problems with the heating to the EST Helpdesk (59)2121 jobdone@uea.ac.uk

7. Walk or cycle to campus. Take the bus or join our Car Share scheme

7. Use water efficiently and report leaks and drips to the EST Helpdesk (59)2121 jobdone@uea.ac.uk
 
8. Make responsible purchasing decisions which take the life cycle of the product/service into account

9. Enjoy and learn about the rich biodiversity on campus

10. Report environmental incidents and emergencies. If you notice any leakages, fires, or other possible emergency situations, call the security lodge emergency number: 01603 592222 or the Estates Helpline for non-emergency events 01603 592121.
