General Waste (non-recyclable and recyclable)

How do I dispose of it?

Within each building there are two types of general waste bins-

• Office bins for recycling only.

• Blue bins for landfill –these are only for general waste which is not hazardous, recyclable or compostable.

In order to maintain a comfortable working environment, cleaning staff will empty all office recycling bins on a daily basis. Office bins containing landfill items i.e. food wrappers, plastic, etc. need to be disposed of personally within general waste bins that can be found on every floor and are clearly labelled ‘landfill items’.

Any large items can be taken to the general waste skip behind the Estates building.

What happens to it next?

The waste is then collected and taken to landfills in Norfolk.
