Space Management

Space Management is an important strategic and operational activity. It provides an essential role in building a balanced, competitive and sustainable University.The key aim of Space Management is to effectively manage a dynamic and limited resource in order to support academic activity, minimize cost and achieve maximum and efficient design, planning and use of the Universities space.

 

The Space Management Team provides a professional support service to the University including space planning, moves management, auditing, space data management and reporting.With responsibility for allocating space across the University.Whether they are requirements for additional space or  reconfiguration of existing space, change of occupancy or vacation of space. 

 

The Space Management Policy  by the Universities Capital Programme and Accommodation Committee(CPAC) demonstrates that the University is committed to effective space utilisation, providing  a framework from which space is allocated, reconfigured and vacated.
 

It is very important that all space related issues are communicated to the Space Management Team within the Estates and Buildings Division.
