Step 1 - Can you apply?
Check to see if your institution has an Erasmus link with the University of East Anglia (UEA) and whether you can participate as an Erasmus student. We can ONLY accept Erasmus students from our list of Erasmus partners and only in the agreed subject area. If your institution is not listed then unfortunately we will not be able to accept you as an Erasmus student.
Step 2 - Apply to become an Erasmus student via your Institution
If we do have an Erasmus link with your institution contact the International, Europe or Study Abroad Office at your home institution and ask how you should apply to become an Erasmus student.
Step 3 - Letter of nomination
If you are accepted as an Erasmus student at your home institution, your institution needs to contact UEA directly and nominate you. Please note, we can only accept students who have first been nominated to us by their home institution.
Step 4 - Apply to UEA
Click here to download the UEA Incoming Erasmus application form
Please note, if you are using a Mac, please complete the Erasmus Application Form using Adobe Reader and not the Mac Preview, if possible.
Law students should fill in the incoming Law Erasmus application form, which will be sent to you directly by the Law School, after receipt of your nomination.
All application forms must be signed and stamped by your Erasmus Coodinator at your home institution. Applications that are not signed and stamped by your Erasmus Coordinator will not be accepted.
Deadlines
Receipt of nominations for all students' placements (first semester, year and second semester) from home institution - 1 May
Receipt of students' applications for the 1st semester and year - 31 May
Receipt of students' applications for the 2nd semester - 15 October
Confirmation of place at UEA
Once we have received the officially signed version of your application form, we will email you to let you know it has arrived (please note, at busy times there may be a delay in confirming receipt of application). Applications will then be processed by the Study Abroad Office and a confirmation letter will be sent to each student by 15 July (1st semester/year) or 30 November (2nd semester).
