Norfolk Black History Month
Norfolk Black History Month began in 2003. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the diversity of our county and also encourages people to be aware of and to explore the amazing heritage of Black people and their contribution both locally (see, For the Benefit of Mr Kite!) and worldwide.
Throughout the month of October a series of events are organised throughout Norwich and Norfolk. These are organised by The Norwich and Norfolk Racial Equality Council and NEAD. Many local organisations and venues such as Cinema City and The Forum will be involved and the University is proud to support this national festival.
Planning for our own events on campus takes place during the year, so if you are interested in taking part or contributing please get in touch with us. Ideas, energy and enthusiasm are all welcome!
